Gen 2 sold out. Gen 3 — with smarter emergency alerts — launches soon.
Everything you need to know about Firefly — the smart house sign that does more.
Firefly connects to your home WiFi and detects outbound 911 calls from devices on your network. On Android, the red and blue beacon activates automatically — no app required. On iPhone, a single tap triggers it. The beacon is visible from over 1,000 feet, helping first responders find your home faster when seconds count — especially in ambulance deserts where response times already exceed 25 minutes.
Most homeowners install Firefly themselves in about 15 minutes — it's a simple hardwired connection. If you'd rather not run a wire, we have a nationwide installer network of electricians and facilitate professional installation starting at $99. We handle the scheduling and coordination — your only job is picking a time.
Yes — Firefly illuminates your house numbers every evening automatically, even without a WiFi connection. You need WiFi to adjust colors and brightness through the app, and for the 911 emergency detection to work. The light itself is always on.
Solar house numbers depend on sunlight to charge and fail on cloudy days or in shaded installations. Firefly is hardwired to your home's power — it works 24/7, 365 days a year, regardless of weather. It's also the only house number sign with four smart modes including a 911 emergency beacon, delivery signals, and adjustable lighting — none of which solar signs can do.
Firefly has been tested across 18 states and 3 countries over 3+ years. Gen 3 availability will expand internationally. Join the waitlist and we'll notify you when it's available in your region.
Yes — Firefly is designed to meet strict HOA lighting rules across the United States. The adjustable brightness and warm color temperature mean no neighbor complaints and no fines. We also offer a dedicated HOA Illumination Program for communities looking to deploy Firefly at scale. Read about Arizona's SB1083 reform initiative and the state-by-state HOA requirements guide.
The Glomensio Firefly runs on standard mains voltage (80V–264V) with no external transformer or power supply required. You can connect it to any existing mains wire from your garage, coach lights, or garden lights. A typical DIY installation involves connecting one mains wire, mounting the device with two screws, and snapping on the magnetic numbers — most installs take less than 15 minutes. No special tools, wire nuts, Wago connectors, junction boxes, or low-voltage converters needed.
We provide detailed instructions on our setup page and are available by text, phone, and email. If you’re not experienced with minor electrical DIY, we strongly recommend connecting with us during setup — we’ll walk you through it, free of charge. If needed, we can also coordinate a local electrician to install your house numbers for as little as $99. We built the Firefly for customers of all ages and skill levels, and we’re committed to making every install seamless.
